The way that images are obtained in nuclear medicine is different from other types of imaging. A special detector is brought close to one side of the body to detect where radiation is coming out. So instead of projections like for x-rays, we get different views depending on what part of the body was closest to the detector when the image was obtained. Are these images normal? |
