This is a set of MLO (medio-lateral oblique) mammographic views of the breasts that show an abnormal mass on the right. The mass is star-shaped, or spiculated with tiny radiating lines going out from a central point. Given the size and appearance of the mass, it is likely palpable. Normal breast stroma is more amorphous, generally extending outward from the nipple but without the localized star-shaped appearance. The mass on the right is very worrisome for breast cancer.
