ICM-II: ABDOMEN, case 3 |
||
TYPE-This is a KUB, or abdominal radiograph TERMINOLOGY-dark areas are 'lucencies' and white areas are 'densities' or 'opacities'. TECHNICAL-unless otherwise specified, KUB's are done in the supine position. They can be done upright, prone or decubitus, but if these special positions are not requested, the image can be assumed to have been done in the supine position. PATIENT-it is difficult to determine much about this patient's body habitus, but they do seem to stretch off the edges of the image on both sides, suggesting that their abdomen may be enlarged. Their spine looks fairly normal. |
