PHYSICAL EXAM:

  Decreased breath sounds at the right base, bibasilar crackles, patient is newly febrile to 101 and has developed a cough.

 

HISTORY:

91 year old male presenting with failure to thrive, dehydration, a right IJ CVL was placed along with a feeding tube (hard to see on the image, so the upper part of its course is indicated by dotted line)

It is essential to be organized in your approach to imaging studies.  For each case, begin by deciding what TYPE of image you are being shown.  Think about the proper TERMINOLOGY to describe findings, given the particular modality. Then note any pertinent TECHNICAL factors or problems with the image.
