PHYSICAL EXAM:

  Right breast scar, left subclavian catheter exiting the skin, when attempts are made to infuse through the catheter, fluids do not flow in as freely as expected and patient complains of chest pain.

 

HISTORY:

38 year old female with a history of breast cancer, about to begin chemo-therapy, had CVL placed for infusion of drugs

It is essential to be organized in your approach to imaging studies.  For each case, begin by deciding what TYPE of image you are being shown.  Think about the proper TERMINOLOGY to describe findings, given the particular modality. Then note any pertinent TECHNICAL factors or problems with the image.
