TYPE-chest radiograph, likely PA (rotated scapulae, but no air fluid level seen) TERMINOLOGY-many subtle increased density in both axillary regions
TECHNICAL-not rotated, reasonable inspiration, kyphotic positioning
The dense objects are so faint, that it is hard to see them, but their position might relate to the symptom (limited range of motion). They actually represented calcification in the soft tissues in this patient who also had a history of chronic renal failure, which can alter calcium metabolism, leading to such abnormal deposits in many organs or tissues.
