The image on the left is from the early part of the ERCP study, and initially contrast filled only the pancreatic duct, shown in blue. After repositioning the cannula, contrast filled the biliary tree in the right image, outlined in yellow. This image is from near the end of the procedure, after removal of the distal stone. An inflated balloon is in place (red) to help with retrieving any remaining stones in the CBD. The balloon is dragged toward the ampulla to clear out the duct. The large metallic object on the images is the endoscope.
