ICM-II: CHEST, case 3

There is also a naso-gastric tube (NGT for short) that seems to be traveling in the expected course for the esophagus, but the tip is not easy to see on this image. It is always important to see where the tip of an NGT is located to be sure it is not stopping in the distal esophagus.

There are also several other random wires, at least one of which seems to be attached to a snap, likely telemetry or EKG leads. This is an indication that the patient is unstable. The amount of soft tissue seems fairly normal but it is hard to be sure, since the image is cropped rather close to the ribs and does not show the soft tissue very well.

For our original patient (who might have a CVL in an artery instead of a vein), would there be any other type of imaging that might be useful to further delineate where that line is going?
