There are 3 major findings on mammography that could indicate a malignant process:
1. Mass: New/evolving: convex outward edge or line
2. Microcalcifications: New and suspicious: linear/branching, irregular, amorphous
3. Architechtural distortion: New (not explained by prior surgery) straight lines: not seen anywhere in normal anatomy, spoke-wheel or sunbeam appearance: characteristic of most breast cancers
Signs of Malignacy
