Architecture of breast stroma varies significantly from person to person
1. Get a sense of an individual’s anatomy
– If you see architectural distortion everywhere, you are wrong! (likely seeing a variant of normal anatomy or normal post-surgical changes)
2. Search for areas of interruption of an individual’s anatomy
– Tent sign: Retraction of posterior parechyma; usually from malignancy
– Any converging straight lines (spiculations w/no mass)
