Set 5: lung zones

This image is from our patient with CHF. Focus your attention on the middle lung zone to see that very few of the vessel margins are sharp, particularly in the lower parts of the lung. Edema that is in the lung surrounding a vessel will make that vessel's margins fuzzy, and this will usually be most evident in the lower lungs, as in this example.
