The CELIAC artery supplies the foregut (liver, spleen, stomach, proximal small bowel, and splits into relatively horizontally oriented branches very near its origin. What other two vessels supply the rest of the gut? |

Did you notice that this image is INVERTED? The dense contrast (and dense bony structures) are black while the less dense air in the lung bases is white. For angiograms, many radiologists prefer to see black-on-white but it is just a preference and can easily be switched back to the more traditional white-on-black). |
