These are sagittal T1-weighted MR images with gadolinium, series A without labels and series B with labels. Again the mass is outlined along with some residual normal pituitary tissue. Optic nerves, chiasm and proximal optic tracts are shown as well as the carotid arteries. The mass protrudes into the sphenoid sinus and given the relative lack of symptoms, has probably been growing slowly over time. This is a pituitary adenoma that does not appear to be secreting any hormones, as the patient has no other symptoms or abnormal blood tests.
