What is this study called and what is the projection? Is it normal? This is an aortic angiogram, and the ascending aorta is very dilated (red arrow). It should be just a bit wider than the descending aorta and it is over twice as wide. This is an LAO projection (spine to the patient's left, on the RIGHT side of the image). There is also aortic regurgitation, shown by contrast beyond the valve (red shading and blue arrows).
