LAO projection |

These images are from a 59 year old female with chest pain and arrhythmia. When looking at coronary angiograms, if the spine (and the catheter in the thoracic aorta) is on the RIGHT side of the image (patient's LEFT, since images are shown like a chest radiograph, as if you are facing the patient), then it is an LAO (left anterior oblique) projection. The diagram shown explains this relationship. On the prior image, you could not see the spine but the catheter was on the LEFT side of the image (patient's RIGHT) so it was an RAO projection. What vessels was injected on these images and does this vessel look normal? |
