Most CVLs are placed without problems, but on every CXR done to check their position, be alert for hemorrhage or PTX.

To see central lines and PTX, you may have to magnify images when viewing. A CXR should usually be done after placement of any support line to check for appropriate position or complications. Which lobe do you think the pneumonia is in?
