ICM-II: CHEST, case 1 |
||
SUMMARY To summarize, we reviewed a few ways to tell some technical things about how an image was done (PA vs AP, upright or not, rotation, level of inspiration, scapular position, lordotic or kyphotic positioning) and what these may imply about the patient's state of health. We also looked at how to check for general things like body habitus (obese, muscular, cachectic) and bone mineralization (which is only a very rough estimate on any radiograph), as well as what terminology to use in describing findings on radiographs (density, opacity, lucency). |
