These images show examples of another type of radiologic study-nuclear medicine. These images are a bit blurry (like ultrasound images), but they are very informative since they show chemical processes within the body.

Image A shows a scan targeting bones (red arrow shows where the patient has arthritis in their foot).

Image B shows a scan targeting cells that are using glucose (characteristic of some normal regions, including heart-h, bladder-b and kidneys-k) and showing many tumors (blue arrows).

Image C shows a scan targeting kidneys in a patient with a renal transplant (k). The images show gradual accumulation of tracer in the bladder (b) over time, which is normal.
