Imaging SOB

Case 4: SOB due to airway compression from a large goiter

The goiter is outlined in red and the trachea in yellow.  The patient has had a right mastectomy.  You can tell that this is a CT and not an MR because the fat attenuation is low (dark gray) and the outer cortical parts of the bones are very high attenuation (white).  You can tell that IV contrast was given because the neck vessels are almost as white as bone, and much whiter than surrounding muscle.
