Set 4: cardiothoracic ratio

Next we turn our attention to a determination of heart size on radiographs.  In almost all cases of CHF, the heart will be enlarged.  The only real exception is when the process is extremely acute, and the heart has not had time yet to enlarge.  Using this image, decide if you think the heart is enlarged in this patient, and decide how you would determine this.
